Edwin Zulu has been an entrepreneurial champion for many years in Zambia and signed on early in April 2012 to be the very first organizer of a StartUp Cup outside of the United States. Now in their second year, Zambia StartUp Cup is a featured event of Global Entrepreneurship Week Zambia and is a key program for growing entrepreneurship in the country.

Edwin

Edwin serves as the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) SME Toolkit Project Coordinator and CEO of ELIF Business Solutions Ltd, a Zambian Enterprise involved in SMEs business development support services. Since 2006, he has partnered with COMESA and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) of the World Bank Group in implementing the COMESA – Zambia SME Toolkit Project.

Edwin has a background of Business Administration and Marketing, and has been a champion for women in the entrepreneurial community. Edwin was a Stockholm Challenge Awards finalist in 2008, as well as a World Bank Group Development marketplace Innovations Competitions finalist in 2000. He was awarded by Manchester University Agencies for his support for women ICTs enterprises in 2005.

He is looking forward to better and brighter future for Zambia, and believes programs like StartUp Cup are the key to accomplishing this. The StartUp Cup team LOVES working with Edwin and his team and we are convinced that one day soon he will be President of Zambia.
