The second annual Orange StartUp Cup kicked-off with the Extreme-Build-A-Business Weekend in Cairo, Egypt.  The program aims to develop a platform to support young entrepreneurs with new ideas to start their own business. Orange StartUp Cup focuses on various ICT-related areas including gaming and virtual reality, financial technology, mobile agriculture, urban development, digital education, and application development.

One hundred and seventy-eight teams of young ambitious Egyptian innovators in various fields of ICT sector participated in the event. Twenty-five has been selected to undergo intensive training courses for the next three months. A jury consisted of local experts and businessmen, will select 5 teams based on their ideas and projects. The nominated teams will be supported by Orange Egypt in the finals.

Orange presents valuable awards for the top 5 teams; the first team gets EGP 100,00, the second gets EGP 70,000 while the third gets EGP 70,000 and the fourth teams get EGP 40,000 and the Fifth gets EGP 20,000.
