GriffinWorx is seeking a highly organized, passionate and self-motivated Operations Manager in our Washington DC HQ office to support our growth. If you wish to work in a dynamic, global, transformational environment, this newly created position that will meet your desires. You will report to the Chief Executive Officer. Responsibilities will include managing the daily administrative and financial operations of the organization and ensuring the efficiency and efficacy of all policies and procedures. Successful execution of this role will allow GriffinWorx to maximize resources and expand its programs.

Responsibilities and Duties

Administrative Operations

  • Oversee daily operations of the organization
  •  Coordinate travel and logistics
  • Liaise with and contract service providers and vendors
  • Organize and maintain shared drives and databases

  • Maintain accounting records and work with accounting specialist to ensure accuracy of
  • records
  • Lead proposal budgeting and project budget tracking
  • Participate in corporate and forecasting process
  • Maintain donor/grantor communications (including payment collections)

  • Manage employment and contractor agreement administration
  • Manage new hire paperwork and onboarding
  • Lead payroll management
  • Manage benefits administration
  • Maintain compliance with labor regulations
  • Support recruitment management
  • Support retention planning

Qualifications & Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Sound judgment
  • Excellent organization and multi-tasking abilities

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, economics, international affairs and/or equivalent in a related field

  • Understanding of business functions such as finance, operations and human resources
  • 2-4 years of relevant administrative and operational experience
  • Experience establishing policies and procedures
  • Strong knowledge and experience with creating and maintaining databases
  • Advanced expertise of Microsoft Excel, Word Excel, PowerPoint a must
  • Experience with proposals and report preparation desired
  • Previous non-profit experience a plus
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Proactive and process oriented
  • Able to learn quickly, take direction and work independently
  • Use creative, collaborative and consultative approaches to resolve issues
